There’s also an anti-fall safeguard so that if the cables were to break the door won’t come crashing down. An aluminium cable drum that guides the cables securely into place and protective cover strips on the garage door itself preventing fingers from getting trapped when operating the garage door. 2-point locking comes as standard. To ensure security, we would always suggest the additional 4-point locking on the garage, as this locks all 4 corners as opposed to standard locking which just locks 2 corners.

These doors can be automated using a bow arm which connects via the boom to the operator, however you do lose some headroom due to the bow arm. Should you be looking to electrically operate an existing canopy garage door, there are several options available.

If you want to automate this type of garage door the retractable gear would be the better option.
